Command Prompt is one of the quickest ways to launch the Windows in any modern version of Windows, is to use the Run window fast and easy.

You can simply find the command prompt by using start option in the Windows 7, XP. But now you can not find a Command Prompt in the Windows 8.1 Start menu.

So Here, you will find an easy step by step guide to open Command Prompt application in Windows 8.1. You do not need to look for it in the whole system. It can be found in your Apps menu.


How to enable / open a Command Prompt in Windows 8.1

Just need to follow the directions below:

Step 1: You Click the “Start” button in Window 8.1 to go to Metro UI. On the left side in its bottom you will see a down arrow. Click this arrow to proceed to the apps.

Step 2: Now you will be in apps section. Here, you need to look for the app “Command Prompt”. If you swipe to the right side, you will find it at the end of the apps under the “Windows System” category as you can see in the image below. Click on it to open Command Prompt.

Step 3: You will see Command Prompt Window is opened before you and you can carry on working on it now.


Reminder: Opening A Command Prompt will probably only take you a several seconds to wait, no matter how or what version of Windows you are using Now, and much less once you learn how to do it.
