This can happen from too many unused programs or files filling up the hard drive, from things that happen while you’re online, and from the general way that computers operates and save information to disk.
Fortunately, I have personally reviewed some programs you can use to get your computer running quickly again. There are some other simple steps you can take, too.
1.Eliminate Spyware Spyware involves programs that deposit information on your computer to track where you go and what you do on the Internet. It can dramatically slow down how fast your computer can surf the Internet and run at all, because it’s busy monitoring what you do. It also risks your personal information and violates your privacy, so there are many reasons to get rid of it. Download anti-spyware software or an anti-virus program that also protects against software. 2. Clean the Registry Your Windows registry is the data center of your computer, and by its very design it tends to get messed up sometimes. Errors aren’t uncommon, and they’ll slow your computer down considerably. You can fix some registry errors manually, but you’ll have to learn a great deal about the registry, which is extremely complicated, and in manually fixing programs you’ll run the risk of locking up your computer.
3. Clear Disk Space Unused programs eat up space. When you have less free disk space, your computer runs more slowly. A built-in tool on your computer called the Disk Cleanup Tool, under Accessories and System Tools, lets you remove unused programs easily as well as delete temporary files and other files that are wasting space. You can also go into your Control Panel, choose ‘uninstall programs’ and remove the ones you don’t use.
4. Fix Disk Errors “How to speed up my pc?” can be as easy as fixing disk errors. Click on your “Computer” and right-click on your hard disk. Choose “Properties” and then choose the “Tools” tab. The first option is a disk-checking tool. Run it; it’s that simple!
5. Defrag After checking for errors, the next option on that same tab is defragmenting. This puts all the files in better places on your disk. Do this only after checking for errors. Your computer will even tell you if defragging will improve your computer’s performance, or if it’s not needed.
